Rejuvenate Your Skin with Natural Injections
The sun is a source of life. Some sun exposure provides wonderful benefits in the form of vitamin D and uplifting psychological bonuses. However, too much sun exposure can prematurely age our skin. Excessive sun exposure can dehydrate our skin and break down the underlying structures that support healthy skin. Called photodamage, the negative effects of the sun on our skin might seem irreversible at first. But now, with the help of modern advances in anti-aging medicine such as Autologous Conditioned Plasma (ACP), we can reverse photodamage and help restore a youthful sheen to your skin.
Silvia Rotemberg, M.D., is an expert in anti-aging treatments. Located in South Florida, she offers ACP treatments that can rejuvenate your skin and refresh your state of mind. Don’t feel trapped in leathery, loose skin. Refresh your natural beauty with ACP treatments by talking with Dr. Rotemberg. Dr. Rotemberg focuses on bringing your ideal vision into reality. About ACP Treatments in Miami
Aging and photodamage cause sagging or sunken skin, desiccated skin texture, and the disappearance of the vibrant skin tone of youth. Collagen and elastin are the proteins that form the infrastructure for healthy skin. As we age, time and excessive sun exposure break down this infrastructure. The deterioration of this support structure for skin causes our skin to droop, the texture to become leathery and less smooth, and a loss to the overall radiant complexion. Fortunately, we can reverse many of these effects and rebuild some of those structures with the help of our own blood, via Autologous Conditioned Plasma treatments.
What Is Autologous Conditioned Plasma?
Platelets are the cells that cause the blood to clot. They release enzymes that promote our body’s natural healing effects. Our platelets attract stem cells to the area to assist in cellular regeneration and help repair damaged tissue. Stem cells are important cells that can grow into any of our body’s specialized cells, which makes them integral to the healing process. ACP injections help boost new collagen and elastin production. This boosted production helps revive the youthful appearance of our skin.
What Is a Blood Facial or ACP Facial?
Despite appearing under flamboyant monikers, ACP facials don’t involve the use of anyone else’s blood. Don’t worry; you won’t have Count Dracula performing any procedures.
We only use your own extracted and purified blood for Autologous Conditioned Plasma treatments for skin rejuvenation. ACP facials combine ACP with microneedling. Microneedling is the process of using minuscule needles to create micro-wounds in the outer layer of the skin. These micro- wounds initiate our body’s natural healing process. ACP facials incorporate the benefits of microneedling procedures with the unique restorative properties of autologous conditioned plasma.
The combination creates a natural-looking youthful rejuvenation.
Benefits of ACP Facials
- Treats wrinkles and facial lines
- Improves discoloration of the skin
- Corrects acne scars
- Stimulates collagen production
- Helps regain a youthful glow to the skin
Eligible Candidates
Eligible candidates for ACP treatments show signs of photodamage and aging in their skin but maintain an otherwise healthy lifestyle. In addition to treating fine lines and wrinkles, ACP facials can assist with acne scars, irregularities in skin pigmentation, and sunken or droopy skin. Usually, our candidates are between the ages of 35 and 65 although in individual cases, eligible candidates might be older or younger than that range. ACP or blood facials are most effective at treating issues with the underlying support structure of our skin.
Wrinkles or creases caused by muscle tension won’t be treatable with ACP injections. In those cases, Botox or another injectable might be better suited. You are also not eligible for ACP injections if you are pregnant, recently used Accutane for acne, or undertook radiation treatments in the last 12 months. In these cases, it’s best to postpone ACP injections until a later date.

Be Prepared
It’s important to be prepared for your ACP facial. Arrange a ride home ahead of time to ensure yourself the most comfortable recovery. Drink a lot of water leading up to your procedure. It’s always important to stay hydrated but especially important before any procedure to ensure the best results.
Your ACP Procedure
After your medical technician makes you comfortable, the ACP procedure will begin by drawing blood from your arm. Then, the blood will be placed into a centrifuge, a machine that spins at a high velocity. The centrifuge will separate out the different elements in the blood. The high-speed spinning results in four basic layers of blood: the autologous conditioned plasma (ACP) layer, a platelet-poor plasma (PPP) layer, what’s called the buffy coat layer which contains the white blood cells, and finally the layer heavy in red blood cells. We will extract the ACP layer to use in your autologous conditioned plasma treatments. It’s this concentrated solution that leverages the curative power of platelets to boost your body’s healing.
Before you receive the ACP injections, we apply numbing cream over your face. The numbing cream assists in minimizing any discomfort felt during the injections. We use a very fine needle to make the microinjections as careful as possible. Dr. Rotemberg will target the areas requiring treatment with precision based on her extensive knowledge. Different pressure injections can insert the ACP into different depths of the skin.
Hence, a fine artistic eye combined with a masterful understanding of human anatomy will maximize the results of your treatments.
Healthy Recovery
After your ACP facial, you should not wear makeup for at least 4 hours following your procedure. You may not want to wear makeup for the next day or two. Use only a gentle cleanser for at least a few days afterward. Avoid chemical cleansers like glycolic acid, alpha-hydroxy acids, and retinol (Retin-A). Also, refrain from applying vitamin C to the treated skin. And of course, try to avoid any excessive sun exposure. We don’t recommend a ACP facial if you have an event the night of your procedure. Your body will need to take a day or two to properly recover and let the regenerative benefits to fully activate.
